CONFERENCE DINNER

The conference dinner will be held in the majestic Maclaurin Hall in the south wing of the Main Quad at the University of Sydney. Getting there is an easy 3 minute walk from the New Law Annex. Our theme for the dinner is “If I wasn’t doing Cytometry…” and it will allow everyone to share a little about themselves by dressing up in the clothes of their other occupation or hobby. So whether you volunteer with the rural fire service, go spearfishing on the weekends or dream of being a circus performer, wear your overalls, wetsuit, or clown outfit to show your other side.

  • Date: Tuesday 1st November
  • Venue: Maclaurin Hall, The University of Sydney
  • Time: 6:30pm to 10:30pm
  • Transport: Walking!
  • Cost: Included with registration. Please bring your ticket for entry.

 CYTORIENTEERING

To encourage social interaction between delegates this year we are holding a special networking session on Monday the 31st of October. We are looking to encourage our premium sponsors in this (allocation will be based on interest and sponsorship level).

This event is a simple orienteering course, with short and long options. Delegates will be sent to one of four lunch areas (starting points), each run by a sponsor (some signage allowed). After lunch, teams will set off to find checkpoints around the University. The four checkpoints of the short course will be each of the four sponsored lunch areas; the long course adds six extra unmanned checkpoints. The event is untimed, but teams will have up to 90 mins to return to the trade/poster area; teams will gather here until everyone is back. Prizes will be awarded for participation.

The sponsors at each checkpoint will help with distribution of packed lunches, checking teams out onto the course and then registering teams passing through. Note: one checkpoint per sponsor.

Please contact Sandy Smith <Sandy.Smith@svha.org.au>to register your interest.
