Since partnering with Propel Labs to release the S3 Cell Sorter in 2013, Bio-Rad continues to work with Propel on R&D engineering efforts, manufacturing, service and technical support. In collaboration with our own R&D team, the automated S3e Cell Sorter will soon have a companion, the ZE5^TM Cell Analyzer.

We are introducing ZE5, the next offering in Bio-Rad’s Cell Biology portfolio for low, medium or high complexity analysis of cells. The ZE5 is an easy to use high performance analytical cytometer that will enable users to perform both basic and multi-parameter cytometry for wide ranging applications.

The first of its kind, this instrument is built around an integrated plate loader, with features such as Real Time Addition of Reagents enabling real time assays and eliminating pipetting errors, Integrated Active Temperature Control and more. ZE5 was designed with researchers in mind for superior performance and flexibility, configurable with 2-5 lasers and up to 28 colours.

ZE5’s automated ease-of-use new technology, combined with the original S3 fully automated cell sorting capabilities, allow researchers to reduce their training expertise or requirements to get on with more important project tasks.
